Article A new Windows service that automatically or manually synchronizes your Active Directory has been released. This service allows you to interactively configure which OU's and even users you want to include or exclude in the sync. It also allows you to configure which fields from AD you wish to sync. This is a great way for any organization to maintain their EIOBoard users. Coupled with Windows Authentication, this requires zero administrator support to keep users up to date. Read more information about it here. |

Savance and Distribution Technology Group (DTG) have completed an agreement whereby DTG will represent Savance products and services that are being offered to the electrical distribution marketplace. Stacey Pandeloglou, longtime distribution industry veteran is the principal at DTG. Stacey has provided technology solutions to distributors for over 3 decades during his distinguished career with Trade Service Systems (now Activant), RouteView, ESC and other distribution-centric technology providers.
According to Steve Bardocz, President of Savance, “Stacey brings a level of industry expertise and strong relationships that Savance is proud to be associated with and we feel that Stacey’s rich experience and distributor rapport will help expose our products to those who can benefit from them the most. Our company is the perfect candidate for a best-of-breed technology company like DTG to represent since we are the only distribution software vendor who does not follow the ‘our way or no way’ philosophy.”
Stacey states, “My vision for the formation of DTG coincides perfectly with Savance’s capabilities. They literally have something to offer for every distributor. Most importantly, I am a firm believer that technology should leverage the customer’s investment in their business, processes, and data and that technology should pave the way toward an improved tomorrow. LaSalle Electric Supply (www.lasalleelectric.com) commits to a major web initiative to increase their web presence and increase their business through e-commerce. The project includes a in-depth internet advertising campaign on select items, thorough logging before and after using Google Analytics (www.google.com), a completely redesigned site from a graphical prospective, implementation of a content management system, and integration of Savance's web storefront.
LaSalle's Vice President, Phil Schwaiger, states "we are excited to increase our company presence, have a good understanding and finite data on our return on investment, have complete control of our website, and most importantly, to increase our bottom line. Before Savance came, we had a static site that was always out of date. We had an online store, but no one used it because it lacked user-friendliness and useful information. Savance offers us a way to easily update our website and maintain a user-friendly storefront with little to no maintenance."
The site is scheduled for Phase I (campaign, traffic logging, web storefront) launch in December, 2007 and Phase II (graphical redesign, content management, and fully integrated web storefront) launch at the end of April, 2008. |
