Older Versions of Kiosk CE

If you are running an older version of the EIOBoard kiosk with Windows CE 3.0 you unfortunately cannot run the latest version of the EIOBoard Kiosk software. The latest version of our Kiosk software requires the .NET framework which is not available in the outdated Windows CE 3.0 operating system. The good news is the existing version of your kiosk software will still work with EIOBoard version 6 with no changes to the existing functionality.

After upgrading your EIOBoard server to version 6 you may get the following error when logging into your kiosk:
An error was encountered while running this program object required:
‘objXMLGatewayConnection.response XML.DocumentElement’

If you see this error then you are missing the file on your EIOBoard server that acts as the go-between for your kiosk and the database. Please contact support to obtain dbconnector.zip.

Extract this to the “EIOBoard” folder on your EIOBoard server where all the web files reside. By default these files are either in “C:\EBServer\EIOBoard” or “C:\Program Files\Savance\EIOBoardServer\EIOBoard”. You can tell for sure by right clicking your EIOBoard website in Internet Information Services (IIS) and clicking Open to open the containing folder.
