Posted by Sam Gaid on 28 September 2016 11:25 AM

Overview:

The purpose of this document is to explain how to use Savance Enterprise Pricing Manager tools in order to update pricing for an item or a group of items.

Locating and using the tool:

Note: If you need to get more information on how the original pricing is set up and managed, please refer to this Knowledge Base which has a PDF and a video explaining pricing: http://support.savance.com/index.php?/Enterprise/Knowledgebase/Article/View/399/0/pricing

Start Savance Application by clicking on the Icon below on your desktop:

Once Savance Enterprise Is launched, Click on “Inventory” > “Pricing Manager”.

The pricing manager should Launch on a new window, Click on “Pricing Rules Manager”:

The pricing Rules manager will launch:

Zooming in to see more details, This Module allows us to search for an item, all items from  one manufacturer, an item that has a certain description or a UPC Code.

For example, I want to search for all the items by the manufacturer “NOR”, I will choose The Manufacturer from the “Mfg. Code”:

then click search on the upper right corner of the screen:

The Pricing Manager will search for all Items that are manufactured by “NOR” and display the results as shown below:

Important Note: Any pricing changes will occur to the search results, Meaning that if I want to change all items for an MFG, I will search by that MFG, If i want to change an Item, I will change by Part number.

Let us say that we need to increase the cost by 1% markup, I will right click on the cost, click on tools, and then click “Add/Subtract Multiplier”

The multiplier will pop, and you will have the option of adding or subtracting a percentage, let us assume I want to add 1%, so i make sure that the multiplier is set to “ADD”, then I will type 1.1 in the Value section as shown below:

This reflects the below formula

(Cost * Value) + Cost

Translated in our example to (Cost *0.1) + Cost

This will multiply the cost by 0.1, and after which add cost.

After I click apply, I will notice the changes:

Now let us assume that I would like to make my changes in Dollar Amounts rather than percentages, I will choose “Add/Subtract Dollar Value” as shown below:

I will make sure that the multiplier is set to “ADD”, then I will type the dollar amount in the Value section as shown below:

Let’s compare the results:

Note: Sometimes you will get the below notification as you are changing prices to a column:

This indicates that one of the cells in the columns is a calculated field inherited from a formula, now this depends on how you want to handle your pricing, if you click “No” It will skip that cell or cells without applying these changes.
