How do I improve the Performance of the Kiosk CE?
Posted by Savance on 27 January 2010 11:46 AM

The memory on the kiosk is actually shared for both program memory and storage memory and it is configurable through the Control Panel. Adjusting the memory utilization of your EIOBoard CE Kiosk can improve the performance of the unit. Since the newer kiosk software uses more memory than the older version, you may need to adjust your kiosk to use less memory for storage and more for programs.

Improve EIOBoard Kiosk CE Performance by Increasing the Amount of Memory
used to Run Applications

  1. Log in as the admin user on the Kiosk Application by logging in with 7282623.
  2. Exit the application by hitting Exit App in the lower left hand corner.
  3. Click on Start in the lower left hand corner.
  4. Choose Settings – Control Panel
  5. Double Click on System
  6. Click on the Memory Tab
  7. You will see a bar and slider that is too wide for the screen. The left side says Storage Memory and the right side says Application Memory.
  8. What you’re going to do is drag the Slider to the left to allow for more application memory. If you cannot see the slider you will need to click and drag the top of the window to the left.
  9. Drag the slider until you only have approximately 768KB of memory Allocated for Storage Memory.
  10. Click and drag the window to the left until you can see the OK button in the upper right hand corner.
  11. Click the OK button.
  12. Click the X in the upper right of the control panel screen.

  2. Click on the Misc Tab
