If you are running XP Pro SP3 as the EIOBoard Server even though it does not meet the official minimum requirments and you or your users experience a problem with permissions when uploading a picture, there is a solution.

Symptoms: EIOBoard app gives a generic error.  EIOBoard web gives the error "No pictures have been uploaded for this user. Error in permissions for uploading a picture."

Resolution: This is a problem with using XPSP3 as the EIOBoard Server and specifically relates to permissions and file sharing. You need to turn off simple file sharing and then give ASP.NET machine account full access to the userpictures folder.
