Outlook Add-in problems with default status change and automatic sync

Two things to look out for:

  1. You’re doing an automatic sync with outlook’s appointments and mapping it to conference call.  Check the calendar in EIOBoard or manually sync, and more specifically just check your settings for your auto sync.  If you have the default status on this page set to Conference Call, every appointment you create will automatically set you to Conference Call when the appointment arrives.  Same thing if you are auto syncing based on the Outlook Status.



  2. Make sure you don’t have an instance of the application or the add-in running somewhere else with the setting to change your status when you are idle:

Then, lastly, make sure you don’t have TAPI enabled and checked.  That can change your status when you pick up the phone and make a call or answer a call.  That’s on the same page as above, just down a little lower. If the Kiosk Application is installed on this machine, delete “EIOBoardKioskCE.exe”. If you do not have a keyboard attached you can press the icon until a menu appears and select “Delete”.
