How to Enter Floats or Decimals with More Than Two (2) Places
Posted by Steve Bardocz on 18 February 2017 01:36 AM
When you entering something into a Quote, Order, RFQ, PO, etc. and you need to enter more than (2) decimal places, sometimes the amount is fixed at (2) decimal places preventing you from entering anything more than 2.  For example, say the amount was 0.32 and you wanted to enter 0.323.   If it showed 0.03200, then you  may just be able to go in the cell and type "0.3230" and hit tab or enter.  If it just says 0.32 or is not allowing you to enter more than (2) decimal places, you should right click on that cell and select "Show (4) decimal places".  Then you can type in something like 0.3230.  This is saved for that session only, so if you close the object and reopen it back up, you may need to "Show (4) decimal places" again.
