If a user selects the "Status" tab on any order, and the Merge Releases and Force Out Release

buttons are grayed out as in the image:

Then they do not have the proper permissions to perform these tasks. To grant permission to

Merge Releases, The administrator will need to perform the following steps.

Go to Admin->Administrator at the top of the window.

In the window that pops up, select the "Security" tab. From there, select the "Order Entry" Security

group on the left.In the right side of the window expand 'Application Security Objects'-> 'Order Actions'

sections of the tree as seen below.

The 'Force out a delayed order' permission grants the ability to Merge and Force out releases, check this box.

Before closing out the Administrator, select the Users tab and make sure that the affected user has

'Order Entry' permissions.

The user will need to log out and back in for the changes to take effect, but then those options will be available.
