While reviewing an account's open invoices on the Receive Money tab in Accounts Receivable, you may need to make last minute changes to the invoice details. For example, you may need to modify freight, miscellaneous charges, service charges, or tax. Once you have searched for a particular customer, all their open invoices will be listed.
Place a checkmark in the "Show Invoice Details Columns" checkbox in order to display the additional columns in the invoice view.
If you need to remove the tax from the invoice, place a checkmark in the Forgive column. This will remove the tax amount specified from the original balance and balance columns. You cannot specify how much tax to remove from the order. It's all or nothing.
To manually adjust freight charges, miscellaneous charges, or service charges to a different amount, hit the ellipsis button to the right of the corresponding column. This will bring up a window that will allow you to type in the new value. The previous value is also displayed as a reference.
When you hit the Apply button, the amount you keyed in will be updated in the corresponding column. The balance will be adjusted appropriately. Once you are done making your fine tune adjustments to the invoice details, you can go ahead and receive money on them as normal with the new invoice totals.
