Sometimes it may be necessary to change the Bill To or Ship To address on an order after it was converted. For example, after invoicing an order, you may notice that one of the addresses is incorrect on the invoice. Perhaps the account is configured incorrectly, the wrong address was selected prior to order conversion, or the address information has changed after the order went through. For whatever the reason, this is easy to accomplish. First, you may want to check to see if the address you need to use is properly configured for the account. If it is, you can skip this step. Go to the Account Manager, look up the account, and go to the Address Info tab. Use the Add, Edit, or Delete buttons as necessary to ensure that all the account's different addresses are correct and up-to-date. Once all the addresses are properly defined, make sure the proper address is being mapped for the correct purpose. Simply select from the dropdown lists which address you want to use for Primary Address, Statements, Ship To, and Bill To by default.
Once you are ready to make the Bill To or Ship To address change, open the order and go to the History tab. Press the Unlock Order button so that you can make the change.
Now, go to either the Bill To or Ship To tab, whichever address you are modifying. Hit the Select button. A popup message will indicate that the Order may have been shipped already, and that you may need to reprint documents related to this order after changing the address.
Next, the address selection screen will come up. Highlight the new address you would like to use. You can make further changes, if necessary, by using the Edit button. Once you are ready to transfer the new address to the order, hit the Select button.
Make sure you hit the Save button when you are done so that you do not lose your changes. To reprint any documents with the new address, go to the Dispatch tab, highlight the document you would like to reprint, and select the Resend Print option.
