This article describes how the Description, CustomDescription, and LongDescription fields are displayed on the webstore. For all examples below, the following descriptions are set:

Description: COVER SQUARE 4" TOGGLE SWITCH

CustomDescription: COVER SQUARE 4" TOGGLE SWITCH 1/2" RAISED APPLETON NR. 8361

LongDescription: RAISED; BOX SIZE 4 INCH; (1) TOGGLE SWITCH; 1/2 INCH RAISED; CAPACITY 8 CU INCH; STEEL; STANDARD PACKAGE 25; APPROVAL UL; APPLETON[R] BRAND

Search Results

The search results page will display the following under Description. If the LongDescription is NOT blank, then the the Description is concatenated with the LongDescription and displayed all together as shown below. If the LongDescription is blank, then only the Description will be displayed.

Product Detail

The product detail page will display the following under Description and Product Detail. The Description displays the Description. If the LongDescription is NOT blank, then the LongDescription is concatenated with the CustomDescription and displayed all together as shown in the Product Detail section below. If the LongDescription is blank, then only the CustomDescription will be displayed.
