GoToMeeting Integration in EIOBoard

GoToMeeting is software that is not directly related to EIOBoard. This software allows a user to view and control another user’s computer (once the permission has been given). This is the software that the EIOBoard Support Team uses to troubleshoot customer issues directly on their client or on their server.

GoToMeeting Integration is a new feature to EIOBoard version 8. It allows you to easily set up a PC meeting with another user. GoToMeetings are very useful in attaining company collaborations. For more details on this, please visit:

To set up GoToMeeting Integration in EIOBoard, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure that you have GoToMeeting installed. Only the person who initiates the GoToMeeting needs to have this software installed before the meeting is initiated. The recipient can have GoToMeeting installed, or it will be temporarily installed only during the meeting.
  2. Make sure you have a GoToMeeting account set up. If you need to set one up, please go to http://www.gotomeeting.com. Again, only the person who initiates the GoToMeeting needs to have an account set up. The recipient will not.
  3. Now you will have to activate the Meeting Integration service in your EIOBoard client. To do so, go to the Integration tab in your Settings. It will tell you “Service is not activated” if you have not activated it yet. Click .


  1. EIOBoard will take a minute to connect to GoToMeeting. Once it has connected, enter in the Email Address and Password you used to sign up on GoToMeeting. When finished, click .


  1. If your credentials were entered in correctly, you will see the following message pop up in EIOBoard, and your EIOBoard Settings will say “Service is activated.”



  1. Now your EIOBoard GoToMeeting Integration is all set up! To use this feature, go to your status board. Right-click on the user with whom you want to join the GoToMeeting, and click on Start GoToMeeting.



  1. The following window will come up. You can select a meaningful subject for the meeting if necessary. You can choose to use GoToMeeting audio or you can select information to be sent about the other user calling you over the phone. If you use GoToMeeting integrated audio, you can use headphones and speakers plugged in to your computer or you can call a provided number, enter in a provided PIN, and allow others to join the conversation. When you’ve configured everything the way you want, click .


  1. GoToMeeting will be started on your computer. The following information will be chatted from you to the other user. All the other user has to do is click on the link and follow the prompts that come up.
