Capturing Savance Enterprise Client Log File
Posted by Kevin Merta on 19 December 2011 11:49 AM

Sending a Savance Enterprise client's logs can be very helpful to Savance's development team. There are two ways to do this.

Using the Savance Enterprise client

The first (easier) way to capture the log files is to do so through the Savance Enterprise client. If you would like to use the Savance Enterprise client to do this, follow these steps:

  1. Now open up your Savance Enterprise client.
  2. Go to: Help > About Savance Enterprise. The About Savance Enterprise window will pop up.
  3. Click .
  4. The Gathering System Information window will pop up.
  5. This may take a minute or two, but it will do the rest of the work for you. Now Savance’s support team should receive all the information they need.

Sending the log files manually

You can also send the log files by manually locating them and e-mailing them to Savance's support team. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Open up a file explorer.
  2. If you are on a 32-bit machine, go to: C:\Program Files\Savance\Savance Enterprise\
  3. If you are on a 64-bit machine, go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Savance\Savance Enterprise\
If you set the location to something other than the default location, go there.
  4. Throw all of the log files into a .zip folder (this makes it easy to send over e-mail as these files can get quite large).
  5. E-mail the .zip folder to support@savanceenterprise.com. Add a description of what you did to produce the error and what the error is (if you know).
