Savance Enterprise Support

In the Savance Enterprise Web storefront, you can show items at the top of the product page they belong to as a Featured Item.  This will list the item at the top of the page and show a longer description than you would find in the normal list of items.  To set an item as a Featured Item, you just need to check the box for the corresponding item in the Menu Manager, which can be performed either in the Savance Enterprise Application or Savance Enterprise  Web. 

If you are using the Savance Enterprise Application, with a user who has “OS App – Menu – Admin – Menu Manager” security rights.  Next go into the “Admin” menu and select “Menu Manager”.  Once loaded, expand out the menus in the left pane and select the menu for the item you would like to showcase.  Now select the item in the right pane and check the “Featured” checkbox at the bottom of the pane. 

If you are using Savance Enterprise Web, login with a user who has “OS App – Menu – Admin – Menu Manager” security rights.  Next click the “ADMIN” link on the link bar which runs horizontally near the top of the page.  Then click the “Manage Product Menus” link.  On this page, select the menu you would like to modify from the drop down.  Once you get to the menu containing the item you want to showcase, simply check the box under the “Featured” column for the corresponding item. 

You may also notice that items can be marked as “Special” and “Top Seller”.  At this time, these features are not implemented, and setting either of these will have no effect.
