Savance Enterprise System Requirements

Below are the system requirements to run Savance Enterprise, separated by server, application, and handheld requirements.

Savance Enterprise Server Hardware Requirements

Note: Many of these requirements will ultimately depend on the client size and modules in use. These suggestions are based on an average sized customer using all available modules.

Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or 2016 standard edition or higher required either on the same server or accessible over TCP/IP

Note A system should meet or exceed these requirements, as well as have Microsoft .NET 4.7 or higher installed. The above requirements also assume that Microsoft SQL Server and Savance Enterprise Server’s services are running on the same server.

Additional Server Recommendations

Internal hardware RAID controller or SAN
RAID 1 or better recommended for system and data drives; system RAID 1 or better, data RAID 1 or better, and log RAID 1 or better is optimum.Dual power supply recommended for redundancy
Dual-processor recommended to run Hyper-V or VMware so test environment can be easily cloned from production and snapshots can be made as desired.
Remote App running with Terminal Services enabled on a separate virtual machine running with necessary RAM required based on 1GB per user.
SQL 2016 Standard Edition
Full recovery mode with Transaction-level SQL backups or SQL Mirroring for real-time SQL backup
Dual network card, one for production and one for backups

Savance Enterprise Mobile Scanning Computer Hardware Requirements (Handheld)

Intermec CK3 (tested, but no customer using it yet)
MC35/MC55 Windows Mobile (customer using, not yet Savance verified)

Printer Requirements

Laser or Ink Jet or similar. Server printing supports any printer that can be networked and printed from Windows from the server (driver must be supported by server OS). Client printing can occur to any printer that can be printed from the client system.

Label or Barcode Printer

Any barcode printer that can be networked and printed from Windows (driver must be supported from server OS)

Local Barcode Scanner Requirements

Serial/RS-232 or Virtual COM/CDC USB Barcode Scanner

Credit Card Swipe (Magnetic Stripe Reader)
