    Click <span class="component"><i><b>Restart</b></i></span>

    That's it. You're done.

  5. This error can also occur if the SQL password is incorrect. When doing an upgrade only, or a migration of both EIOBoard Server and SQL database to a new Server if you run into any authentication issues, problems connecting to SQL, issues with AD Sync etc. general connection problems etc. you can often fix them by replacing the web.config file in the EIOboard site with the backup you created in III. - Step 2 In this example this was done to fix an incorrect sql password
  6.

Use the Website->Asp.Net Configuration option in Visual Studio. </b></i></span>--></b></i></span>

    Click <span class="component"><i><b>Close</b></i></span>

    Click <span class="component"><i><b>Apply</b></i></span>

    Click <span class="component"><i><b>Desktop</b></i></span>

    That's it. You're done.

  7. Sometimes replacing the entire web.config file might cause more problems than it fixes. In the web.config file there are several settings called appSettings that may sometimes be changed or reset by an upgrade or Server migration. Compare these entries in the new web.config file to your backup web.config file to make sure your settings that worked before the upgrade are still employed after the upgrade. You can also check these settings to make sure that your new server addresses etc. have been set correctly. Here is a screen shot of the app settings from web.config. The settings that most commonly need to be changed to match the backup are highlighted. Just keep in mind all installations are different-
  8. A final problem you may run into after upgrading SQL is an issue where a user tries to log in to EIOBoard it gets stuck at "logging 51%" and then eventually times out. This is due to a compatibility setting in Newer version of SQL (later than 2012). If your users run into this problem set the compatibility level for the SolutionSavant (or whatever your EIOBoard database is called) database to 2008.  Here is a microsoft article on how to do this https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/databases/view-or-change-the-compatibility-level-of-a-database
