Kiosk Activation Issue

When the kiosk starts up after activating for the first time, the application should be opened to the default screen. If the kiosk prompts you to activate the program, instead of opening the program, there may be an issue with the kiosk loading too fast. In order to fix this issue, you will have to create a batch file to delay the start of the kiosk.

  1. Create a new Text Document.  

              

  2. Edit the file to the text below, where the underlined portion is the path to the kiosk application



  3. Save the file.
  4. Change the name of the file and the extension from .txt to .bat

              

    NOTE: You may have to enable extensions.

    Windows 7/XP: File Explorer > Organize > Folder and Search Options > View > Uncheck the box titled "hide extensions for known file types"

    Windows 8: File Explorer > View tab > Check the box titled "File name extensions"

  5. Move the batch file to the startup folder. The startup folder is located: Local Disk > Users > Username > AppData > Roaming > Microsoft > Windows > Start Menu > Programs > Startup.
